Barbecue Cups
When I first got married, I brought this dish to virtually every potluck I went to, and always received requests for the recipe. My husband and children love it, as do the various people who’ve received it over the years when they had a new baby, or were laid up after surgery, or moved into a new house. It was one of my childhood favorites, handed down from “Gramma” (aka my mom).
Barbecue Cups
Brown 1# ground beef or turkey; drain fat. Add 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, 2T brown sugar, and 1/4 cup chopped onion. Press 1 can of Pillsbury Grands Jr. Golden Layers Buttermilk Biscuits into 10 ungreased muffin cups. Make sure dough goes up to edge of each cup. Divide meat mixture evenly among cups. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 min, or until biscuit edges are golden.
Pair it with a salad or green bean, and you’ve got dinner!

This is one of our favorites…because there are so many ways to make it, not to mention, its cheap!
Sounds delicious! So excited to see your blog up!
Ok. That’s it! I’m making these. I even have ground turkey, already cooked, socked away in the freezer. Thank you!! Love your Daisy Muse
Tricia, I think this is definitely in the running to be a “$5.00 dinner.” We may need a bigger batch for your bunch! =)
I remember you giving me this recipe years ago. It’s easy and satisfying. It’s been awhile since I’ve made them so I think I’ll make them this week. Thanks!
mmmmmmm…I need to make these again soon! Haven’t had them for a looooooong time! I love your blog! And I love you! XO
Oh, I’m gonna try this!
Made these tonight. 10 min. prep time and 10 in the oven. While it’s in the oven I get salad ready and pour our drinks. Fast and yummy, eveyone happy!
I remember you brining these to us when we lived in Benicia! They were really good!:-)
